Castro named a semifinalist for Coleman Company-Johnny Bench Award
The Cardinal head to Tucson for a three-game set against the Arizona Wildcats in a series that will have a strong effect on the Pac-10 standings. The series is set for Saturday-Monday, with a 6:00 p.m. start time on Saturday and a 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Monday game is set for a 11:00 a.m. start time.

No. 14 Stanford baseball closed out their regular season schedule at Klein Field in style, using a seven run fifth inning to run away from the Santa Clara Broncos in their 15-4 victory. Brent Milleville, Sean Ratliff and Jason Castro all went deep and seven Cardinal starters recorded hits in the contest. No. 6 Stanford hoped to avoid getting swept to their bay area rivals on Sunday afternoon and Klein Field and accomplished the task with an 8-5 victory over California to salvage the season finale. Junior first baseman Brent Milleville hit his second career grand slam in the fifth inning to give the Cardinal a lead they wouldn't relinquish.
